Professor Dr. Md Shirajul Islam Khan is a sincere, wholehearted, and enthusiastic who has been working as Head of the department of Dermatology and Venereology in Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Dhaka, which is a 1650 bedded largest tertiary care hospital in Bangladesh affiliated with Armed Forces Medical College and Armed Forces Medical Institute. He is a brilliant clinician in the field of Dermatology and Venereology and actively involved in teaching at postgraduate and undergraduate level for more than 20 years. He has been relentlessly taking lectures and clinical/practical classes for post graduate students of Dermatology and Venereology as well as Internal medicine conducted by Armed Forces Medical College and Armed Forces Medical Institute. He plays vital role as the chief course coordinator facilitating all academic activities for the students during their course period out of his passion for teaching post graduate students of Dermatology and Venereology and has also been supervising thesis and dissertation.

Being clinically skilled and having a very high-level professional expertise, he is devoted as an examiner of postgraduate level of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (Doctor of Medicine and Diploma), Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (Fellowship and Membership) and postgraduate and undergraduate examinations of Bangladesh University of professionals. He has a special aptitude for in-depth research and continues to engage himself in various research works from the year of 2003; his expertise in data analytics and decision-making qualities for his research works manifests in more than 75 scientific papers he has published in various well reputed national and international journals. More importantly, he is impressed by his charisma and pragmatism to a point that collaborated with others for research projects. He is the faculty member of Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons (BCPS) and EC member of Bangladesh Dermatological Society. He is one of the contributor of Advanced Cutaneous Drug Reaction of Directorate General of Drug Administration(DGDA) and Bangladesh Cosmetic regulatory board.
